I  entered the Haunted Forest of home ownership in January of 2013 with the purchase of my first house!  With the help of both US Bank’s American Dream Home Loan and Wells Fargo’s NeighborhoodLift Program I was able to secure $18,000 in Down Payment Assistance which helped me jump into the competitive and cut throat world of real estate in Sacramento, CA.  I finally found my Oz hidden deep in the trenches of Campus Commons.  A mostly original 1972 townhouse complete with a double oven and tacky tile, I knew I had found my diamond in the rough!  Armed with my interior designer mom and contractor dad I found myself in way over my pay grade, and I kind of liked it.  Welcome to my trials and tribulations as I make my house into my home! 🙂
